My late Grandma Betty once told me...
‘the most frustrating thing about getting old is the young uns ....they presume we have never done anything, It’s as though we were born old. They like to think they were the first to do everything. Truth be known' she would say shaking her finger 'we were doing it a long, long time before they where and probably doing it a lot better!’
I supposed she’s got a point. I’m 42 ... I’ve noticed recently that people have started talking to me about gardening, how to make the perfect Yorkshire Puddings and such the like, as much as they do wild nights out. When I reminisce about crazy nights out they look at me as if to say really, you really did that ? Hell yes I've lived enough for 3 , hey 4 people even. Grandma I hear you!
So imagine my delight the other night when this little lady appeared like a ray of sunshine through our TV screen. Yoko Ono being interviewed by Jonathan Ross - petite, fun, stylish, mad as a box of frogs and wait for it ...80 years old!! I nearly choked on my coco.
